Location

Gwinn

This year’s events are being held at the Gwinn Commons Building (Upper Gwinn) on the Seattle Pacific University campus, just a few miles northwest of downtown Seattle.

3310 Sixth Avenue West
Seattle, WA 98119

You can learn more about the venue on SPU’s website, or by browsing the map we’ve embedded below, which maps the venue and nearby hotels.

Getting to SPU

Directions are available on SPU’s website, and you can also view the campus on Google Maps.  SPU also offers an interactive map of the campus; we’ll be in buildings 10 (Gwinn Commons) and 28 (Weter Hall). We’ve outlined several public and private transportation options below.

Bus Service

King County Metro serves Seattle Pacific University via city bus Route 13, and Route 31 and Route 32.

  • Route 13 travels between downtown Seattle and Seattle Pacific.
  • Route 31 and 32 travel between the University District and Seattle Pacific.

Ride Sharing

Services like Uber, Lyft, and Flywheel are on-demand car services you can request straight from you phone, anywhere, anytime. They have flat airport specials to downtown, and are available almost anytime, anywhere around Seattle. Download the app on your iPhone or Android Phone or use the mobile web version on most smart phones.

Biking

The racks closest to the Upper Gwinn (#10) and Weter (#28) buildings are:

  • On the lowest level of the Dravus Parking Lot, where WordCamp attendees will be directed to park their cars.
  • Straight down the 5th Avenue streetscape from the Dravus Parking Lot, there is a “bridge” on the right going towards Marston Watson (#37), and there is a bike rack just before you enter the building. This building is just down the stairs from the Weter Building (#28).

Walking

If you are staying nearby, walking to the campus is a great option; however, please allow adequate time to find the building.

Driving

Parking at SPU

Parking is free at SPU and will be made available on the lowest level of the Dravus Parking Lot, where someone will be on hand to direct WordCamp attendees who are driving to the event.
