Are You Ready for WordCamp? WordCamp is Ready for You!<\/h2>\n

The flight crew announced the call for speakers<\/a> (every flight needs some entertainment, right?).\u00a0 In keeping with the goals of our Pilots,<\/a> we will be holding workshops to help those interested in becoming part of our WordPress community or playing a larger\u00a0role in it.<\/p>\n

\"WordCamp<\/p>\n

This is a workshop for women who are thinking about speaking at WordPress\u00a0events, such as WordPress Meetup and WordCamp. During this hands-on session, we\u2019ll look at what has stopped you from speaking in the past \u2014 and explore how to move past your doubts.<\/span><\/p>\n

We will discuss some common myths about public speaking, different talk formats, and we will focus on finding your areas of expertise (yes, you have areas of expertise!). We will brainstorm topics you can talk about at a WordCamp or other event.<\/p>\n

Each participant will come out of the workshop with a WordCamp or Meetup talk idea \u2014 and more confidence to submit it.<\/p>\n

***You do NOT have to have any experience in public speaking. This workshop is for all levels of experience.<\/em><\/p>\n

This workshop is for you if:<\/h2>\n

>You identify as a woman.
\n>You’re not sure how to develop a talk about your topic.
\n>You\u2019ve thought about speaking at Meetup or WordCamp but haven\u2019t been able to think of a topic<\/p>\n
