Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. ~ <a href=\"https:\/\/central.wordcamp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordCamp Central<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>WordCamp Seattle<\/em><\/strong> brings together WordPress enthusiasts from around the Northwest for two days of education, edification, and community. Whether you\u2019re a developer, a designer, a consultant, an agency, a blogger, a publisher or end user, WordCamp will take your WordPress skills and enthusiasm to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all about community.<\/p>\n<h2>I\u2019m new to WordPress, will this be over my head?<\/h2>\n<p>Absolutely <b>NOT<\/b>! We\u2019ve carefully selected speakers to meet everyone\u2019s needs. We\u2019ll have a hands-on, Learn to Use Your WordPress Website workshop first thing on Saturday! You\u2019ll find everyone friendly and knowledgeable, especially at the Human Help Desk where you can get every WordPress question you have answered by an experienced WordPress user. There\u2019ll be lots of resources in the sponsor area as well and plenty of time to network.<\/p>\n<h2>I\u2019m an experienced developer, will this be too basic for me?<\/h2>\n<p>Nope! Not at all. \u00a0Take a look at the schedule which will be posted when tickets go on sale. You\u2019ll see sessions on advanced coding topics as well as additional business, community, and other general interest topics. You can also spend time in the Contributor Track on Sunday and give back to the community by helping with an assortment of tasks.<\/p>\n<h2>So is this conference only about coding?<\/h2>\n<p>Definitely <b>NOT<\/b>! We have something for everyone. Do you blog? Got you covered. Freelance? Got you covered. Maybe you\u2019re with a nonprofit? We have you covered too! Need to learn about Search Engine Optimization (SEO)\u2026 you got it. Check out the complete line-up on the Schedule page.<\/p>\n<h2>Are the sessions recorded and available to watch after the conference?<\/h2>\n<p>Absolutely. They\u2019ll be posted within roughly a month after WordCamp on<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/\"> WordPress.tv.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s up with lunch?<\/h2>\n<p>Rather than keep you inside for an expensive catered lunch, We will provide you with lunch cards each day. This provides an opportunity to stretch your legs and get in some networking. All of your restaurant options are within a short walk of the venue and we&#8217;ll provide the lunch card at registration each day.<\/p>\n<h2>Can I volunteer at WordCamp?<\/h2>\n<p>You bet. Thanks for your interest in joining the team! The entire event is put on by volunteer organizers, and we can definitely use your help. Our on-site volunteers help ensure a great event for all attendees. You can apply online. And if you\u2019re interested in helping organize the event next year, please be sure to indicate that on the application form.<\/p>\n<h2>Do you offer scholarships?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes, we do. If you can\u2019t afford the $40 registration fee, please email <a href=\"mailto:seattle@wordcamp.org\">seattle@wordcamp.org<\/a> with &#8216;<em>Scholarship<\/em>&#8216; in the subject line.<\/p>\n<h2>Can I just pay for one day or give my entry to a friend or co-worker on the other day?<\/h2>\n<p>Unfortunately not. The ticket price is heavily subsidized and we\u2019ve already spent your money! Every attendee gets a swag bag and lunch, leaving a small amount to cover the venue costs (which includes the &#8216;oh so important&#8217;\u00a0 coffee service and the AV)<\/p>\n<h2>Can I get a refund?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes, you can cancel your registration and issue yourself a refund up until October 19th days. To get your refund, follow the link in your order confirmation email.<\/p>\n<h2>Where is the best place to park at The Conference Center?<\/h2>\n<p>There are plenty of parking garages around The Conference Center. Learn more about the event parking information from the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wscc.com\/parking-directions\"> WSCC Website<\/a>. The Main Entrance is on 8th Avenue, between Pike &amp; Seneca Streets. We highly recommend using public transit . . .<\/p>\n<h2>Can I get there on public transit?<\/h2>\n<p>Absolutely! The venue is a few blocks from the Westlake Light Rail station and many buses stop at the Convention place station or other nearby cross streets. You can also check <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/s\/seattle--wa-98101\/all?checkin=2017-11-03&amp;checkout=2017-11-05&amp;allow_override%5B%5D=&amp;s_tag=wlDJ0d6D\">AirBnB<\/a>.
