About

If you use WordPress in any capacity, you must experience a WordCamp!

What is WordCamp?

WordCamps are casual, locally-organized, non-profit conferences covering everything related to WordPress, the free and open source personal publishing software that powers over 60 million sites on the web. WordCamps come in all different flavors, based on the local communities that produce them, but in general, WordCamps include speakers presenting on topics ranging from basic WordPress tips to serious development tools and strategies. The types of sessions typically seen at WordCamps can be viewed online on WordCamp.tv.

You can view all of last year’s talks at http://wordpress.tv/event/wordcamp-seattle-2012/.

Is WordCamp for Me?

Yes. There is something for everyone. In fact, this year’s WordCamp will be split up into 3 different “tracks”, meaning at all times you’ll have 3 different speakers/sessions to choose from. Ranging in skill level from Users to Designers/Power-Users to full on Developers, this year’s WordCamp has it all!

User/Blogger
Writers, business owners, anyone who USES WordPress to control their content. You probably don’t touch any code or even install plugins or mess with your theme much.

Designer/Themer
Designers, creatives, and power users, you may or may not code, but you’ve definitely built a site or are active in maintaining your site with plugins or themes. You may even have built a theme or two.

Developer
You bend WordPress to your will, or try to, using PHP, Javascript and other programming languages. Beginner to Advanced, if you’re a coder this track will be where you want to be.

How much does it cost?

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, this year’s event will be only cost you $20!
