Still looking for a single ticket!
Hi Nancy, check out the comments on the schedule announment post. Someone commented there that they have a ticket available.
Thanks! I missed that. I sent him a note.
Congrats on an amazing lineup. I’m looking forward to it!
Are the sessions something we sign up for ahead of time? Looks like a great day! Looking forward to it!
Jennifer, you can attend any sessions you like… no need to sign up or designate ahead of time.
I’m thinking about attending the 10:30 “Things We Learned The Hard Way” seminar. I am more than a WordPress beginner but not a pro. My question: who is the intended audience? Power users or dabblers like me? (Really looking forward to this day)
Susan, great question. Since it’s the middle track it will likely be for power users/designers and beginning developers more than casual users. I think Michael will be sharing some tips & tricks for those looking to become WordPress pros, sharing his experience as one. However, unless you’re interested in copyright info, I would recommend this talk over the other 2 in that time slot. I think you’ll still get a lot out of it.
Grant…in looking through these posts I realize how much I need both the Copyright and Michael’s class. You mentioned in a post that the sessions would be streamed (on the Registration page) so I was wondering if the video will be archived on WP.tv or available somewhere later. You had mentioned that it was going to be streamed live which I obviously can’t watch while I’m in a session : )
Cheers,
Ta
Ta,
Yes, the plan is to have the talks recorded and uploaded to WordPress.tv. Stuff can always go wrong, but that’s the plan!
Sounds great! I’d love to be able to stream the classes I can’t attend. Thanks!
This info may have been sent or posted but can’t find it anywhere so here’s my questions:
1. Parking info
2. Check in process – first timer so other than an email I don’t have any more info
3. Am I missing anything else we need to know? Bringing a group of 6!
Thanks!
1. https://2012.seattle.wordcamp.org/location/parking/
2. Just show up and check-in. If you signed up we’ll have your information to check you in.
3. Nope. See you there!
Grant
I see according to the published schedule that we’re all only given 30 minutes to get in, complete the reg process and get to the opening session. I don’t know how many attenders you expect but is that really enough time? ( 0 :
Good catch. The registration starts at 8am… it just wasn’t updated on this schedule. We’ll be sending out a final email with all the day of details (registration, etc.) that will have all the final info for everyone. Thanks Larry!
Thanks Grant!
There are two address’s that I’ve found (not here) for SAM’s which is right 1300 1st Ave or S Walker Street?
The entrance for WordCamp is near 1st and University, right by the tall man outdoor sculpture. It’s the South West corner of the block. We’ll be posting more helpful information soon on the blog.. stay tuned!
Looks great! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
